It’s impossible not to meet cats in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi, and for tourists it’s almost a part of the sightseeing experience. However, the sad reality is that these cats are suffering. The streets are dangerous - they risk being hit by cars, catching diseases, they’re exposed to harsh climate conditions, and are starving. They didn’t ask to be brought into this cruel world, and are at the complete mercy of humans for their survival. We humans as the privileged species have a moral obligation to help other animals. All cats deserve to live in safe and happy homes! This is why it is critical that we NEVER buy animals from “pet” shops or from people selling them.
