On September 24th, the Tray4Stray Nonprofit Organization based in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia, had a charity event held at The One Terrace Hotel to benefit the stray cats. They are in desperate need of food, medicine, and other supplies for maintenance, so they can survive the harsh living conditions outside.
We wish that we had a shelter/sanctuary for them but we do not and it's heartbreaking to see them suffer, but at Tray4Stray, our team as well as our supporters are doing our best to provide comfort and relief to the stray cats who are abandoned on the streets, but continue to show us their strength, resilience, and unbelievable will to survive. They are a natural pest control and protect our community and our homes from rat infestation but they receive little to zero credit for their important community service. One of the things we do at Tray4Stray is fight for them through the programs and contents we design and deliver.
We would like thank everyone who attended the event, people from different countries were gathered together at dinner, music, raffle, silent auction, the super fun paper dance, and enjoyed the violin performance of a young Georgian musician, who is a member of the "Georgian Chamber Soloists", Maria Kazankova.
A million thanks to special guests, Zakaria and daughter Anastasia, from the Stray Animals Project in Georgia. Zakaria builds and donates wheelchairs for injured stray dogs in addition to building dog and cat houses. He donated a beautiful cat house for the silent auction and we can't thank him enough for his compassion, generosity, and unwavering commitment to save stray animals all over Georgia.
