Mama Putty, one of the regulars at our feeding stations 1 & 2 for 11 months now gave birth on the open roof top of a building next to ours on April 25th. We waited to see her kittens but only one survived. There were big storms in April and maybe Mama Putty couldn’t save all her kittens but this one, we named her Nikita. After 6 weeks she she attempted to get her to the ground by walking through the gutters but Nikita was afraid and went back to the roof. After several tries she finally made it to the ground and has been living in our parking lot with the big cats ever since. We noticed that she was limping lately and still was able to save herself from two dogs chasing her yesterday by climbing to the walls. We wanted to take her in but the only space left we have is being occupied by the 7-week old sisters, Katya and Nikita.
We are trying to get them adopted but no one has come forward yet and at the same time we need to be able to take care of Nikita as well. We can keep her healthy while living outside and prepare her to be transported to Turkey. We already have amazing partners in Istanbul to receive every cat we will bring in. So we are looking for sponsor(s) for her vaccinations, microchip, passport, and regular maintenance (food, anti-flea, de-worming pills, bloodwork, etc.).
